China will proactively introduce a set of new taxation policies designed to preserve the environment, including a tax on carbon dioxide emissions, according to a senior official with the Ministry of Finance (MOF).

China is among the world’s largest emitters of greenhouse gas and has set goals for cutting emissions. The government has vowed to reduce carbon intensity, or the amount of carbon dioxide emitted per unit of economic output, by 40 to 45 percent by 2020 in comparison to 2005 levels.

Americans Think the Climate Is Changing:

Since most of the western world is still influenced strongly by America, this is some particularly good news.

Although when it comes to climate, Europe and specially it’s people, “believe” in climate change and act on it. Knowing that America is still a big polluter (second biggest with 16% of the CO₂ emission) I think this is worth pointing out.

Hopefully their president will push some regulations to lower America’s emission of green gasses.

A new start…. Tons of bad stuff happen in the world, who am I to deny this. Who am I to criticize or resolve this. I am not in denial about this.

I can’t. I don’t have a super power to bring right to the world, to influence big issues… But what I can do is show the world that there exists progress, that there is good development going on in the world, that there are people who do and act against the violence of people and companies, who stand up for themselves and others in need, who show that the world can be a better place.

My motto is and will be, as Ghandi once said:

“Be the change you want to see in the world”
